Get to know the major players

Hameed Ali, who discovered the full catalog of body-form aspects of God, first encountered five that were known to the Sufi, the mystical arm of Islam. Those five plus two more are encountered far more than others, especially in the beginning of this work.

The five comprise the Sufi lataif. They are the building-blocks of any human personality. You might feel strong in one and deficient in another. The relative weight, then, of the five, can explain tendencies in much the same way as an enneagram review or Myers-Briggs assessment. The other two often accompany one or more of the lataif, as amplifiers.

The Lataif

• Joy/curiosity is yellow. It represents I want or I'm interested. 
• Strength/discrimination is red. It represents I can. 
• Will is white or silver or platinum. It represents I will.
• Power/peace is black. It represents I know. 
• Compassion/self-love is green. It represents I am. 

Two More

• Truth is gold. It often assists in overcoming skepticism when in the presence of a profound discovery.
• Brilliancy is translucent white, or black or transparent. It arises when all five lataif are integrated and engaged.
